ESOPHAGEAL VARICES: This happens in alcoholics who drink too much over the years, which causes the cirrhosis of the liver and also causes veins in the esophagus engorged and can bleed a nd when that happens it is an emergency as they can bleed to death if it is not stopped if the person is not a chronic drinker and vomits blood after drinking that blood can cme from the stomach due to bleeding from stomach go to er.
