The bleeding could be coming from the stomach, esophagus, or duodenum (first part of the small intestine). Alcohol, tobacco, aspirin, Ibuprofen and other anti-inflammatories can all contribute to the risk of this bleeding. When severe, this can be life-threatening. If you can't quit drinking, get help now.
