A member asked:

Can diabetes permanently stop the menstrual cycle?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possibly: Diabetes is known to be associated with development of polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). PCOS causes an imbalance of female hormones leading to cessation or irregularity of periods. 43 yrs is also considered in the peri-menopausal age, therefore that possibility can't be completely ruled out.
