More info needed....: Extra teeth as in supernumerary teeth, or over retained primary teeth? Age of patient? This is best visualized and answered by your local dentist. Hard to tell what you mean by extra.

Remove extra teeth: Extra teeth should be removed when they will become a problem for the bone or other teeth. Extras can crowd and create a poor bite and poor Smile aesthetics. They can become cystic when encased in bone and destroy the jaw bone. They do not fully erupt always completely and are tissue entrapped. They will usually become infected.These are all good reasons to have them removed.
