Not necessarily: Low platelets usually do not cause tiredness unless the underlying cause of the low platelets is the cause of the tiredness. Example: if the low platelets are due to chemotherapy administration then the tiredness is due to the chemo not the low platelets. See your primary and if necessary get a referral to a hematologist for further eval of the low platelets.
