How long does it take meth to get out of an unborn baby?

Depends ....: On when the mother stops using meth. In an adult, urine drug screens are usually negative a few days following the last dose.

Varies: This depends on how much the mother has been using and many other factors. Methamphetamine and its breakdown products in the mother's blood will be passed into the fetus' system through the placenta. The average methamphetamine urine drug screen will be negative 4-5 days after last use, but there may still be low levels of the drug in the mother's/fetus' systems. Brain effects last longer.

You don't: Everybody makes mistakes. The user is going to be a mother. If her only question is about concealing abuse of meth, she should offer the child for adoption so that the child will have a chance for a decent life. Forgive my frankness. It will not affect future pregnancies when she is truly ready to be a suitable mother.

Don't plan on it: If you are on the radar of child and family services you need to get into the mindset that they will find out.If not, avoid anything that will bring attention to you.In most cases they never look.If they look, they can find evidence that identifies use as much as 3-4 months prior to delivery.
