A member asked:

What is the implication of having a blood stained mucus from the nose?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Trauma: The most common cause of nasal bleeding is trauma, either from aggressive blowing, rubbing the nose, or nose picking. It can also occur with some nasal sprays and occasionally with infection, nasoseptal perforation, or other nasal problems. If it persists, you should see your doctor for an examination of the nose.
