Dry air: During the colder, winter months the air both outside and inside is drier. This can lead to dry, cracked mucous membranes. A little blood occasionally when blowing your nose is nothing to worry about. If you have regular nosebleeds you should see your doctor. Either way, a humidifier to keep your home around 50% humidity is recommended.
