Yes: These medications can be taken together because each has a different mode of action. Mucinex (guaifenesin) is prescribed to loosen the mucus. Claritin-d is an antihistamine and a decongestant. So the two of the drugs together should 1.) loosen the secretions, 2.) Claritin should decrease any allergic reaction and the decongestant should decrease mucus production.

Yes : Claritin is an antihistamine medication which decreases allergy symptoms (watery itchy eyes, runny nose, itching etc). Mucinex (guaifenesin) is a mucolytic, breaks down mucus so it is not so thick and easier to drain. When taking Mucinex (guaifenesin) please drink an 8oz glass of water each time to avoid dehydration and allowing Mucinex (guaifenesin) to do its job properly.

Claritin (loratadine) is: An antihistamine, Mucinex (guaifenesin) is a mucolytic agent (guaifensin). As long as they both don't have a decongestant (signified by a 'd') you can use them together.

Probably: Most over the counter mucolytic drugs have very few drug interacations; always best to ask the pharmacist but usually they don't interact with anti-inflammatory medications.
