Tummy tuck Vs Laser: Stretch marks occur due to cracks in the dermis skin layer. Some of these will fade with time. If the red color does not go away, a pulsed dye laser can help to fade the color. Laser is less helpful for white marks. Otherwise, the most definitive treatment is a tummy tuck, which will completely remove as much of the damaged skin as possible while restoring smoothness to the abdominal contour.

Tummy tuck: Depending on the location of the stretch marks, the only real way to eliminate them is excision. Whether a tummy tuck or arm lift or other type of surgical excision, the only remedy is to cut it out.

Surgery: If your stretch marks are mostly in the lower abdomen , a tummy tuck is an excellent option. If they are in the upper abdomen, thighs, upper breasts or arms, not much can be done about them.
