Depends On Cause: It would depend on the cause of the prostatitis. Your doctor would determine the best medication for you. They would also determine the length of time you would need to take the medication. (anywhere from a couple of weeks to several months.) they may need to change the medication or add to the medications, depending on your response to treatment.
