Yes, but discuss: With your physician to outline possible alternative treatment plan, appropriate dosing, and ramifications if you have other health issues. The original ten mg should be about out of your system by eight hours, so taking another five should not bother you after this period of time, but may make you drowsy the next day. Do not take more. Zolpidem helps best with initiating sleep, other meds sustain.

No: The fda recommended dose is 10mg of zolpidem. In fact, for women it is recommended to be 5mg and no more.

No, please don't : Don't take another 5mg zolpidem pill in the middle of the night because you will still be under its effects in the morning. However, the fda approved another form of zolpidem, called intermezzo, that's given in lower doses and can be taken in the middle of the night. Discuss with your physician.
