Done with puberty: If your voice is still very high and you are obviously through puberty, you can see a speech pathologist for therapy to deepen your voice or you can undergo type iii phono surgery with an ENT doctor to lower your voice. On the other hand, if you are vocally gifted you can train as a countertenor. They are rare and much saught after in classical music.

Puberphonia: Do you have a high pitched voice? Voice never left puberty? Possible causes can be stress, psychogenic (related to emotional factors), anatomical issue or inadequate development of secondary sexual characters. Encourage you to discuss this with you physician. If you do have puberphonia a treatment plan can be developed to address specific causes.
