Depends on type: Seb cyst results from blocked hair follicle and can go away but may be affected by hormonal changes. Also an abscess can form (in follicle or sweat gland) and may vary with time - heat packs can help but might need surgical drainage. If it gets hot, red, painful - and may even drain pus.
