Common problem: Spitting up after feeds is very common and often reflects a simple wet burp or mild reflux. This can increase in frequency over time and often peeks arount 4 months, subsiding after 6-9. The difference in this and a sick kid is their aparent ability to go about what they want to do without any fussing.

Reflux: It is quite frequent that infants spit up after feeds because of the valve at the gastro-esophageal junction does not yet form a good seal. Be patient and most reflux disappears. In severe cases it takes up to one year though.
