Excruciating pain when i poop (pregnancy constipation). in the meantime that it's being treated, what can i do to alleviate the pain? please help!

Constipation: It appears that you are in need of both a stimulant laxative and a stool softener. An example would be products such as senokot-s. Also, i would recommend the insoluble fiber such as bran or psyllium taken on a daily basis. Finally, drinking plenty of water is also essential.

Check with OB first.: Water for hydration, walking to help stimulate peristalsis of your bowels, and utilizing your gastro-colic reflex after eating. Also prune juice and coffee are stimulants but also check for hemorrhoids with your doctor. Bulk laxatives, and mineral oil are also possibilities but instead of using tylenol (acetaminophen) for pain, treat the underlying cause of the constipation or hemmroids.
