Yes, unfortunately: The Risperdal is probably the cause, many antipsychotic meds cause significant weight gain.

MEDICATION EFFECTS: Do not recommend use of Risperdal in this situation, as there is a substantial risk of stroke or death, in those elderly folks who have dementia. Of course, i fully agree that the weight gain and fatigue is also due to this drug. Is there are major issue with stopping it in view of all the potential problems? Is her diagnosis confirmed, such as alzheimer's? Should you get a second opinion?
