yes, ginger can be: Taken during pregnancy. However, have you considered making yourself ginger tea instead? Pour boiling water over freshly sliced organic ginger & steep x 5 min in a covered pot. Sip.You can drink slightly flattened ginger ale or nibble on crystallized ginger.

Also new medication: The fda just approved (reapproved) a medication for treatment of nausea and vomiting of pregnancy if non-medicaiton measures (ginger, crackers, sucking ice) do not work. The combination of vitamin b6 (pyridoxine) and doxylamine, brand name "diclegis" is not available, and has been widely studied with controlled human studies shoing no risk in pregnancy.
