A member asked:

Is it safe to take sodium bicarbonate for nausea while pregnant?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sodium bicarbonate contains a lot of sodium (salt) that can lead to water retention. If you have that problem then no, otherwise it should not be a problem if used within reason. Much better products would be soda crackers, graham crackers, Coca Cola syrup (not soda pop mix, but pure syrup) or Emetrol. Helpful and not harmful.
