Lower abdominal pain: In cases of abdominal pain, upper usually refers to the stomach, upper intestines, pancreas and gallbladder. Lower usually refers to the colon, appendix, bladder, and gynecologic organs. Intestinal causes of lower pain include appendicitis and colitis. There are also gynecologic causes that need to be considered. It's important to get evaluated by a physician in order to make a correct diagnosis.
