Check local : You are 46 and in nm. Check out the university of new mexico. They will have a board certified bariatric surgeon. They may have free sessions on bariatric surgery and the team of surgeons, psychologists, nurses, etc will be happy to answer your questions. Talk to your doctor about your thoughts about your weight and rely on them before and after the surgery. It requires a life long commitment.
