Good Sleep hygine: Consists of not taking naps, not exercising 2 hours prior to getting to sleep , not eating heavy food close to sleeping time , avoiding caffeinated beverages in the afternoon , avoiding alcohol , going to the bathroom and emptying your bladder so that you do not have to wake up later on . Avoid certain habits like watching tv , using electronic gadgets including cell phones in bed

Sleep hygiene: Sounds like you may have read up on sleep hygiene already. If not, google it and you will find that there are many sites that give direction for better sleep. There is simply not enough room here to completely list all of the sleep hygiene guidelines. If it continues and you are not feeling anxious or depressed, i would recommend over the counter melatonin. 3 to 5 mg a day is enough for most people and i recommend taking it two hours before bedtime. If this doesn't work then please see your family practitioner or a sleep specialist. Best wishes to you.
