Not serious: A retractile testicle is caused by an overactive muscle. It slides easily into and out of the scrotum. Your childs Dr should examine the testicles annually at each well child exam. For most children the testicle movement out of the scrotum will go away during puberty when the testicles enlarge. Watch for pain or a testicle that no longer descends into the scrotum.
