Kinda sorta: Talk to your orthopedic surgeon about your concerns. We use xrays to confirm proper lineup of bones as well as healing (look for callus formation). We're here to treat you so it's possible that your bones slip out of position from manipulation to xray. Bottom line: talk to your bone doc.

Usually: Typically, x-rays are more accurate than physical exam for diagnosing fractures. There is a <3% chance that the x-ray doesn't depict the fracture, though.

Usually: It is easy to miss a non-displaced fracture on physical exam. X-rays are more accurate. However putting exam and x-ray together gives the best chance of making an accurate diagnosis.
