Depends where the : Pain is and what is causing it. Some people have pain with restless leg syndrome, others have radiuclar(nerve pain) that shoots down from the loss of curvature in their low back when they lay flat, others have bursitis. If it is general cramping (as I am guessing why you had blood tests instead of xrays) a muscle relaxant can sometimes benefit sleep. If i were you, i would want further workup.

No effective oral tx: You may wish to consult with a pain management specialist or a neurologist. Perhaps they find a cause ora treatment.
