Refractive error: Your child's eye prescription indicates that he/she is mildly myopic (nearsighted) in both eyes (the minus numbers) and has a minimal degree of astigmatism in the right eye (indicated by the power and axis listed). This is a very mild, typical prescription for children. When they get to their teenage years, then they often will become more myopic and may need glasses change every year or two.
