Is sunlight dangerous after having an examination with dilated pupils ? i had to walk for 30 minutes without sunglasses and it was a very bright day.

Prob OK: You should be fine as long as you didn't look directly at the sun. Sunglasses are nice, but you can also shade your eyes with your hands. If all else fails, you can squint. Many eye mds have temporary sunglasses available.

Photosensitivity : Uncomfortable yes, but rarely permanently harmful. Your usual reflex protective mechanisms, such as squinting, head down position likely helped. It may have been more irritating if you had been walking in snow, or paddling a boat across a lake, in which much reflection into your eyes may occur causing more discomfort. Unless you are starring right into the sun, you are unlikely to have harmed eyes.
