Yes: If you don't like Implanon for any reason you can have it removed. However remember irregular periods is common with Implanon so this nothing unusual. And that Implanon is a very effective form of birth control. Ask yourself if the effectiveness and convenience is worth the periods being irregular.

Yes you can: Of course you can remove it when you want. The most common side effect is a change in menstrual periods. Expect your period to be irregular/unpredictable while you are using the implant.You may also have more/less bleeding, or no bleeding, varying periods times/spotting. See your doctor to discuss what other birth control would be right for you. Remember to always practice safe sex. Use condoms.
