Get checked: Babies commonly have blocked tear drainage systems which can lead to accumulation of mucous in the corners of the eyes and tearing. This often clears spontaneously, but an infection may need treatment. Light sensitivity can be a sign of other problems in babies, rarely congenital glaucoma, so the baby may need to be checked out, at least by a pediatrician to start with.

Needs to be checked: I assume you meant that the baby closes her eyes in sunlight. Although this may be normal, signs of congenital glaucoma include light sensitivity, closure of the eyes and tearing.. The baby shlould be checked by your physician.
