Usually not: I assume you mean to rest after intercourse when trying to conceive. While some providers advocate laying flat for up to 15 minutes after intercourse, I am aware of any definite research to prove that it helps. Studies in infertility clinics may suggest that after insemination or transfer of embryos, rest may improve pregnancy, but the results vary. Bedrest in early pregnancy is also not needed.
