Depends of type: Different types of fracture require different treatments. The first differentiation is whether or not the fracture is stable or unstable. Small fractures that don't affect the structural integrity of the spine often require no treatment. If the spine "slips" because of the fracture, it needs to be stabilized externally with a halo brace or internally with surgery and fusion/plate.

Depends on the type : Of fracture. Could range from doing nothing, wearing a soft collar, wearing a hard collar, surgery. See your spine surgeon.
