Shouldn't: The tampon would not have an impact on your uti. However if the tampon causes bladder obstruction, then it would be a problem. But, that is unlikely to happen.

NO: As long as the tampon is not causing any obstruction to the flow of urine it should not be a problem. Drink lots of water and take an appropriate antibiotic.
