Can boil in ear cause dizziness?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Usually, no; but may: A boil in the ear (skin of the ear canal) , a furuncle, can be painful, but would usually not cause vertigo (spinning). While vertigo can be interpreted as 'dizziness' , 'dizziness' is a very vague/nonspecific symptom. The pain of an ear canal boil/furuncle could cause lightheadedness. Recommend medical exam (e.g. Ent or otology md), for evaluation & possible incision/drainage and antibiotics.
