Yes: The vast majority of catheters manufactured for use in the usa contain radioopaque material (typically a mri-compatible metal alloy) that is dense on x-rays to aid in their visualization.

It should.: Most catheters are called radiopaque meaning that they can be seen with a routine x-ray. If not radiopaque then should be able to be seen with a ct scan.
