Why cardiac catheterization done from the femoral artery not vein and why always done from the right femoral not left?

Right vs left heart: 1. Right side is often because most are right handed. There are lefties who cath from the left 2. Femoral artery leads directly to the base of the aorta and the coronary arteries as well as the left vertical and atria 3. The venous system leads to the right heart and the pulmonary artery.
