Can a brain tunor cause jaw nerve pain?

Rare: A very specific brain tumor on the 5th cranial nerve can cause jaw pain. The 5th cranial nerve or trigeminal nerve gives sensation to the the face. Its lower branch goes to the jaw. A tumor (such as a schwannoma or meningioma) on this nerve can lead to the pain. Treatment is neurosurgery or gamma knife radiation depending on the size.

Neuralgia: It would be an usual symptom to have with the exception of a tumor around the trigeminal nerve, in that situation jaw pain can occur and likely also sensory changes like numbness in the face.
