What causes abdominal and lower back pain after embryo transfer?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

POSITION OF SURGERY: Most likely the position of your legs during surgery are the cause of back pain which should resolve in a few days. Advil (ibuprofen) and a massage should help. Abdominal pain is from the procedure of removing embryo/ eggs from the ovaries and or manipulation of the uterus for implantation will cause abd pain. Like menstral craps these should go away. If not see your ob/gyn doctor for an evaluation.
