Yes: It definitely might be related to gas, a common cause, especially if it comes and goes or if you notice it for a few hours after eating and its relieved by passing gas or a bowel movement. The other thing to be concern about in that area is an appendicitis. If you notice a constant pain that doesn't improve accompanied by any systemic issues like a fever, then need to see physician immediately.
