Depends: Your doctor would need to review the specific test results. Vasovagal syncope (fainting) can occur even with a negative tilt test. An implanted loop monitor may be helpful to figure things out, it is a device that can be inserted under the skin and records the heart rhythm. It stores episodes of slow or fast heart rate automatically, and the patient can manually store the rhythm after syncope.
