A member asked:

Is it possible for your heart to stop beating when you faint during a tilt table test?

Usually not: The heart rate may slow down or speed up but will not stop unless there is something else abnormally wrong.

Not expected: Complications are rare with tilt table testing. Fainting is typically due to an insufficient flow of blood to the brain; whether your heart will stop is unrelated.
