Yes it is: Whole wheat and multigrain bread is healthier than white bread, both of these contain more fiber and is healthier for digestive system as well as cardiovascular system.

Food Question: Both of these breads are just a bit better for your health than bleached flour breads but, just barely. They are still 100% carbohydrate calories and some brands actually also contain honey or other sugars to add taste. Carbohydrate calories should be taken in moderation and be no more than 25% of your total calories.

Whole Wheat Bread: Look for a product that is labeled 100% whole grain or 100% whole wheat. The key here is 10-to-1 ratio of total carbohydrates to fiber on the nutrition label. That's the ratio found naturally in whole-wheat flour. A few whole grains, like wild or brown rice or cornmeal, have slightly less fiber that whole wheat and don't meet the 10-to-1 guideline, yet they are healthful.
