See a dermatologist: One of the causes of a very itchy scalp in a child is tinea capitis (ringworm of the scalp). If allowed to progress, it can result in hair loss and even an inflammatory process called a kerion. Please have her evaluated as soon as possible. Meanwhile, it is a contagious process, so please do not allow her to share styling tools or hats with other children.
