My 6 yr. old daughter has a very itchy scalp. primarily the back if her head. it's noticeably red. what would the best steps be to take?

If allowed to progress, it can result in hair loss and even an inflammatory process called a kerion. Please have her evaluated as soon as possible. Meanwhile, it is a contagious process, so please do not allow her to share styling tools or hats with other children.
