Is there anything you can do for hyperhidrosis?

MEDS, procedure: First, hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) needs a work-up: hgh level, thyroid tests, & rarely carcinoid/pheochromocytoma needs to be considered. Topical anti-perspirants containing aluminum chloride (drysol) 10-20% may help. Oral anti-cholinergic med (glycopyrrolate) or beta blocker (bp pill) has helped some. Iontophoresis, and Botox has also been successful. Finally there's surgery, sympathecomy.

Different things: There various topical medications that help hyperhidrosis. If those do not work, for hyperhidrosis of the hands and armpits, surgery via vats sympathectomy is up to 90-95% effective. http://www.ucdmc.ucdavis.edu/surgery/specialties/cardio/thoracicsurgery.html.
