Pregnancy: Pregnancy is the most common reason for a missed period. That should be ruled out first before other distinctions can be made. If a pregnancy test is negative, then you should see a doctor as to what other issues may be causing you to not have your period. Other causes could be stress, birth control, herbal supplements, and various changes in your hormone levels.
