Work Restrictions: Would probably have limitation on amount of weight you would lift from floor to waist. Possibly from waist to over head. Also limitation on stairs, squatting, bending, or twisting. Pushing and pulling may be limited to smaller weight amounts. Should be addressed by your surgeon and pain doctor.

Ask your surgeon: Your surgeon will guide you. Depends on how many weeks you are away from surgery. At times after microfractures & drilling for hip avn (avascular necrosis) one may use a cane for a few weeks to protect femur head, but that is surgeon dependent. All in all after healing is done for your back and hip, you should be able to return to a fully productive life. Pay attention to proper body mechanics.
