Additional infection: Bilateral hip pain in the setting of treatment for presumed BV might indicate that there is something more going on in the pelvis. This could represent "referred pain" originating in the pelvis, but perceived in the hips - indicating that this is more than just a vaginal infection. Given the importance of ruling out pid, you should be re-evaluated soon.

Hip pain/pelvic pain: Pelvic pain can be due to other types of bacterial infections and std's, sexually transmitted diseases. Bacterial vaginosis typically is not a cause for pelvic pain or pelvic inflammatory disease. You should return to your primary physician for a re-evaluation if you have been treated but still having associated symptoms.
