A member asked:

I'm 26 weeks pregnant and have a anterior placenta what are the risk with having a 2nd c-sec? i've read bleeding out and hysterectomy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends on location: The most common placental location associated with abnormal placental adhesion is a placenta previa. An anterior placenta could be at risk but is not necessarily over the scar from your previous surgery. Also all women with risk factors for abnormalities do not get this complication. Speak to your doc for your specific situation.
