Conjunctivitis?: Conjunctivitis can be either viral or bacterial, it is difficult sometimes to differentiate between the two. Both are very contagious and are given to you by a carrier.

Eye infections: Most eye infections are caused by touching or rubbing of the eye with dirty hands. The best way to prevent infections is to be careful to avoid touching the eyes. Many eye infections will get better on their own. Warm compresses can help. Infections caused by viruses may be helped with treatment.
