A few options: Over-the-counter Hydrocortisone cream or ointment may help mild eczema. Prescription steroid cream may be needed for more severe eczema. Prescription-strength moisturizers (these replace the barrier of the skin) iclude hylatopic plus, mimyx, and epiceram. If it's mild, i typically give samples of cetaphil.

Steroids: Topical corticosteroids are used for eczema treatment. These include Hydrocortisone ( 1% is otc, other strengths need prescription), betamethsone, triamcinolone, mometasone, clobetasol, etc. These are all prescription.

ECZEMA: Eczema is immune related skin condition with dry, itchy skin, mild/moderate or severe rash with/without oozing and sometimes secondary infection of eroded skin. You need to keep skin well hydrated to prevent flare ups and to reduce severity. There are several creams for skin hydration e.G aquaphor, eucerin, vaseline and many. For treatment of eczema, medicine/cream will be prescribed by your doc.
