A member asked:

Single solid nodule found on u/s in left lobe. measures 1.3 x 1.1 x 1.1 cm and "appears to be relatively vascular." bloodwork suggests graves.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Graves has nodules: Graves disease is a diffuse hyperplasia (increase in cell volume and size) of the thyroid gland tissue. It is an autoimmune (fighting against yourself) disease against the thyroid hormone components. It is not uncommon to have several nodules in the setting of diffuse hyperplasia. A fine needle aspiration can be done to resolve the question. Nodules are frequently vascular.
